Amazon delivery issues and alternative places to buy – a story with a moral!

An update on this post. Apparently Amazon had a slight hitch with the ordering data so didn’t order enough copies (I guess that means Richard Armitage didn’t buy them all up after all).

They have now resolved this so should be able to dispatch copies soon. Thank you to everyone who has been patiently waiting to read it. I hope you think it’s worth the wait!

Quite a lot of people have told me they’re having problems getting hold of Falling for Her Captor from Amazon UK. I’m not sure what has happened but it’s currently showing a delivery date of 7-11 days which is hugely frustrating for me. I’d love to think it is because the book has been so popular beyond even Harlequin’s wildest dreams that they’ve had to do a second edition but I’d also like to think it is because Richard Armitage loves it so much he’s bought the job lot so no one else can turn it into a film before he gets the chance. But I digress…

Fortunately there are some online sellers that have copies available.

The Hive in particular is great as they give a percentage of the sale to local and independent bookshops. This is fabulous as we all need local bookshops and they probably pay tax.

So, huge online retailer with dodgy tax issues 0. Indie sellers 1.

I think we can all learn something there.

Elisabeth’s writing career began when she entered her first novel into Harlequin’s So You Think You Can Write contest in 2013 and finished in third place. She was offered a two-book contract and hasn’t looked back. Since then she has published six Medieval romances with Harlequin Mills & Boon and doesn’t have any plans to stop! Elisabeth works as a Primary teacher but she’d rather be writing full time because unlike five year olds, her characters generally do what she tells them. When she isn’t writing, she spends most of her spare time reading and is a pro at cooking one-handed while holding a book. She loves historical fiction and has a fondness for dark haired, bearded heroes. Elisabeth enjoys skiing, singing, and exploring tourist attractions with her family. Her children are resigned to spending their weekends visiting the past. She loves hot and sour soup and ginger mojitos - but not at the same time! She lives in Cheshire with her husband, two children and two cats with ridiculous names because the car broke down there in 1999 and she never left.
